Due to travel restrictions and for the safety of participants, the seminar
FROM CAN'T to CAN DO! Montessori for Aging & Dementia, will now be held online. Though online, the course will be considered a live course that will meet the requirements of the Montessori Internacionale Certification pre-requisite. This is important for those of you starting the July certification classes. Once you register online, you will be sent the link to join the class. Certificates will be emailed to you at the conclusion of the course. You will need a computer with camera and sound in order to participate. This course will remain interactive in nature with multiple teachers and the schedule will have the same breaks as a live course.
Activity professional's will receive the same 12 hours of CEU's and AZ Assisted Living Facility Manager's will receive 12 units.
For those of you in Arizona who do not have computer access at home, there will be gathering of particpants at Endeavor Training Institute with big screen TV and enough space to keep social distance as requested by the CDC.

Our program content demonstrates how to meet the CMS regulations requiring that the care communities:.
•Learn more about each elder as a person, provide greater support for elder preferences, and give elders increased control and choice.
•Provide access to activity materials 24 hours a day.
•Provide training on dementia management.

This program meets the core educational requirement for the Montessori Dementia Engagement Certification and is pre-approved for 12 CEUs by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals.
AZ NCIA CEU's will also be offered for 12 hours of live study.

She is also adjunct faculty at St. Nicholas Montessori College in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
